Takis served as Performance Designer, creating costume design and set design for Rossini’s comic opera. Working with director Cal McCrystal and choreographer Tim Claydon, the design brought physical comedy and visual wit to this tale of romantic deception. The production was conducted by Valentina Peleggi, with lighting design by Jake Wiltshire.
Garsington Opera is one of the UK’s most prestigious opera festivals, presenting productions in an outdoor pavilion set within beautiful gardens. This production combined Rossini’s bel canto brilliance with theatrical staging that emphasized the work’s comedic elements. The design captured both the medieval setting and the opera’s playful spirit. View the complete gallery of production images above.
