This opera production of Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was presented at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki in 2020. The 2020 run, which opened on 6 March, was cut short after two performances by the Covid closure, and the production was revived at the Finnish National Opera from 29 September to 27 October 2023.
takis served as Set and Video Designer, creating an integrated visual environment that combined physical scenery with video projection for Mozart’s timeless opera. Working with director Jussi Nikkilä and conductor Patrick Fournillier, the design brought contemporary visual storytelling to this classic tale of seduction and damnation. Costume design by Erika Turunen and lighting by Kalle Ropponen completed the production’s striking visual palette.
