This opera production of Il Segreto di Susanna (Susanna’s Secret) by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari was presented at Opera Holland Park in London in June 2019.
Takis served as Performance Designer, creating costume design and set design for this charming one-act comic opera. Working with director John Wilkie and conductor John Andrews, the design captured the intimate domestic setting of this lighthearted work about marital misunderstanding and a wife’s secret cigarette habit. The lighting design by Mark Jonathan enhanced the opera’s delicate comedy.
This short opera was presented as part of a double bill, paired with Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta.
