This theatrical production of Jane Eyre, adapted from Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, was presented at Tampere Theatre in Finland in Autumn 2021.
Takis served as Performance Designer, creating costume design and set design for this dramatic adaptation of the beloved Gothic romance. Working with director Jussi Nikkilä and choreographer Ingrid André, the design evoked the atmospheric world of 19th-century England, from the harsh Lowood School to the mysterious halls of Thornfield Hall. Lighting design by Raimo Salmi enhanced the production’s Gothic atmosphere.
The production featured a strong ensemble cast including Marketta Tikkanen as Jane Eyre and Esa Latva-Äijö as Rochester. Tampere Theatre is one of Finland’s most important regional theatres, known for ambitious literary adaptations.
