This musical theatre production of Moulin Rouge was presented at China Teatern in Stockholm, Sweden in 2023, featuring music by Justin Levine.
Takis served as Set Designer for this spectacular production, working alongside costume designer Astrid Lynge Ottosen. Under the direction of Anders Albien, the design created the iconic Parisian cabaret atmosphere of the Moulin Rouge with bold theatrical staging. The production featured extensive choreography by J. Widegren, Z. Odelståhl, K. McDonald, and A. Gaardbo, with lighting by Palle Palmé and Ulrik Gad.
With a large ensemble cast including Marsha Songcome as Satine and Andreas Wijk as Christian, this production brought the glamour and energy of Belle Époque Paris to the Swedish stage. View the complete gallery of production images above.
